Two new additions to Reggae Boyz squad..Kingston College and Harbour View midfielder Fabian Grant and Portland Timbers’ midfielder Andre Lewis both get their first call up to the senior Reggae Boyz squad which take on Central American side Honduras in an international friendly at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas, USA on February 16 at 8:30 pm.Grant, who starred for the ‘purples’ in the recent Manning Cup and helped his school to the Walker Cup title, scoring a spectacular strike from 20 yards in the first minute of the final to give Kingston College the lead against Jamaica College, a match they won the match 2-0, joins another schoolboy in Cornwall College and Montego Bay United’s striker Jourdaine Fletcher in the squad.Lewis, a former St George’s standout, won the schoolboy triple title with the Neville ‘bertis Bell-coached team in 2011, and the Manning Cup and Oliver Shield titles in 2012. He was a key member of the national under-17 world cup team that qualified for the world youth tournament in 2011. He also went on to play for the national under-20s and under-23s, but this is his first senior call up. At Club level, Lewis played for Portmore United locally and for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Charleston Battery in the US, he currently plays with the Portland Timbers.. He takes the place of Real Salt Lake midfielder, Omar Holness, while Grant replaces Lewis’s Timbers team mate, Alvas Powell.The rest of the squad reads: Romario Williams, Cory Burke, Je-Vaughn Watson, Kemar Lawrence, Sergio Campbell, Damion Lowe, Oneil Fisher, Andre Blake (GK), Ryan Thompson (GK), Owayne Gordon, Kevon Lambert, Dwayne Ambursley, Ladale Ritchie, Shamar Nicholson, Micheal Binns, Ewan Grandison and Rosario Harriot.
