The one-night-only benefit concert at the August Wilson will celebrate the University of Michigan and its renowned musical theater department, as well as honor its longtime chair, Brent Wagner, who is retiring in May after 32 years. Many of the institution’s well-known alumni will also be making an appearance at the event including Tony nominees Gavin Creel, Hunter Foster, Celia Keenan-Bolger and Jennifer Laura Thompson.Mike Daisey Takes on TrumpDonald Trump is heading to Joe’s Pub this summer! Or rather Mike Daisey is bringing The Trump Card, a biography and a story about politics, to the venue. The famed monologist told the WSJ that the leading GOP candidate is a “frighteningly good speaker,” and that The Apprentice contains the clues to figuring out what makes him tick. Daisey is perhaps best known for his work The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs.Cheyenne Jackson & More Set For Provincetown Multiple Broadway favorites are heading to Provincetown’s Town Hall concert series this summer! Cheyenne Jackson will perform at the Art House on July 3, followed by Megan Hilty from July 17 through July 19, Kristin Chenoweth on August 16 and Patti LuPone on September 4.
