Fellow sophomore wide-out Ty MacPherson has a team-best 15.04 yards per reception (27 rec, 406 yards, and 3 TD’s).Junior kicker Trey Tuttle has made 22 of his 26 field goal attempts on the season and 40 of his 43 PAT attempts.The Wildcats surrender 20.9 points per game, ranking them 20th nationally in scoring defense.Junior linebacker Conner Mortensen leads the squad with 83 tackles. Former Manti High School star, junior defensive lineman Jared Schiess leads the Wildcats with 10.5 tackles for a loss.Redshirt sophomore defensive end George Tarlas leads the squad in sacks (9) and is tied for the team lead in forced fumbles (3) with junior safety Preston Smith.Freshman corner-back Ja’Kobe Harris leads the Wildcats with three interceptions while redshirt freshman corner-back Eddie Heckard and sophomore corner-back Marque Collins lead the squad with five pass breakups apiece.Montana is coached by Bobby Hauck who is 16-8 (.667) in his second season at Missoula, Mont. and has restored the legendary program to its roots.The Grizzlies score 38.8 points per game, ranking them 5th nationally in scoring offense.Redshirt senior quarterback Dalton Sneed completes 65.9 percent of his passes (257-390, 6th nationally) for 3,179 yards (18th nationally), 24 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.Sophomore tailback Marcus Knight has run for 1005 yards and 23 touchdowns, which leads the nation.Redshirt junior receiver Samori Toure (79 rec, 1,410 yards [3rd nationally], 13 touchdowns [tied for 6th nationally], 17.8 yards per reception ) is an explosive target for Sneed.Redshirt junior wide-out Samuel Akem (59 rec, 848 yards, 5 TD’s) and redshirt senior receiver Jerry-Louie McGee (59 rec, 477 yards, 3 TD’s) is also effective for an explosive Grizzlies offense.Redshirt junior kicker Brandon Purdy has made 10 of his 13 field goal attempts on the season and 59 of his 62 PAT attempts for Montana.The Grizzlies surrender 25.7 points per game, ranking them 41st nationally in scoring defense.Redshirt senior linebacker Dante Olson leads the Grizzlies in tackles (165) and tackles for a loss (11), while also posting 3.5 sacks, an interception, three pass breakups, four passes defensed and two forced fumbles, tying him for the team lead in that category with redshirt sophomore safety Robby Hauck.Redshirt sophomore linebacker Patrick O’Connell leads the squad with 6.5 sacks, while redshirt freshman defensive tackle Alex Gubner paces the Grizzlies with four interceptions.Redshirt junior corner-back Dareon Nash leads Montana in both pass breakups (10) and passes defensed (12).The Grizzlies lead the Wildcats 40-15 and defeated Weber State 35-16 November 1 at Missoula as Montana celebrated a happy Senior Day.
